I present unto you, Lucius and Deliath Vindictus!
The fireworks roared in the distance as houses Lucius and Deliath Vindictus were now joined in holy matrimony, almost overshadowed by the roar of the supporting crowd of the masses on the square in front of the Cathedral.
Almost completely joined, Leopold though as he closed the heavy wooden door of an old catacombs exit behind himself. Just a few more details...
Leopold walked away, deeper into the streets of Tizca. Leaving the party unnoticed wasn't much of a feat at least. With everyone being focused on the couple, sneaking away from a wedding party is as easy as stealing a full set of cymbals from a music shop owned by deaf people. Leopold chuckled lightly at the analogy, continuing to walk towards the star port.
Half an hour later, he was already on the command deck of his ship, going through the comms and analyzing the maps of the area. Eymadald region on planet Oris didn't look friendly at all. Swamps on every step, packs of wild slaverhounds, Dakani supporters.

Nope... Leopold thought to himself, lightly shaking his head. This won't be a cakewalk one bit.
The maps were also showing Lebora, the largest settlement in the Eymadalad region, and also the most likely location of his target... the only surviving heir of the Dakani family. As expected, he had been abcent from the wedding today. His family had claimed he was too ill. This was of course a lie, and Lucius had proposed that he was sulking in his hiding place in Lebora. With an alibi, and the target claiming to be sick at home, noone will suspect anything...
Ordo Nigrorum Susurri Pilgrim class Hunter's Kiss, 082-346-AYD, you are clear for departure, Emperor's Family station out
After a short shuttleflight Leopold had arrived in the vast spacestation run by the Emperor Family. The sturdy ship left the docking bay, orbiting the planet until it flew geosynchronal over the Eymadald region. The cover up part wasn't as comlicated, but effective.
Align Athra, activate cloaking device.
Of course, the ship itself wouldn't be warping to Athra... and there was already a separate Pilgrim with an almost identical ID waiting cloaked around Athra, ready to dock on one of the Dam Torsad Starport. Considering travel logs, Leopold was clean. His record was showing that he left the wedding party a bit earlier, which he could always blame on mild food poisoning, and also showing that he docked on Athra a few hours later, off to join his family at his estate.
Sire Caine, we are in orbit over Eymadald. We have located the IR signal beacon the Tiphareth Wolfspiders have set up in the swamps. A somewhat Large Ni-Kunni man at the helm continued, Your pod has been prepared for launch
Leopold nodded, walking outside the command post and over to his quarters to grab the last pieces of equipment before he was about to leave. Another simple part of the plan. His Tiphareth Wolfspider kameiras were already down in the swamps, and managed to find a good landing spot for an orbital deployment pod. Leopold just had to pick up all the equipment and meet with them down on the surface.
Hastily entering his quarters, he shook the robe off himself and threw it over a chair. His light combat armor underneath it was now visible. Leopold loathed the idea to be moving in battle gear around the wedding's participants, but the damn thing took too much time to put on, so he had to do it before coming to the ceremony. He walked over to the two briefcases placed on his desk, opening each to make a last minute check if everything is ok.
Night vision scope, thermal scope, silencer, bipod... check.
Leopold was walking down the halls to the pod launch room, holding the two briefcases in his hands and another bag with other resources over his shoulder.
It will going to be a hunt actually. he thought, walking inside the pod launch room. It will take me some time before I track and locate the target.
Once inside the pod, Leopold took a big breath, grabbing his datapad to make a quick call before the launch. The line rang for a few seconds, and then was answered from the other side. There was no video, and the audio link was interrupted every now and then with high pitches of static.
Hello?
Hello, mr. Vindictus... how's your bride feeling? Are you enjoying the afterparty celebrations?
Ah, Caine, Caine... don't worry about that... It is all going well here. We'll have to celebrate together another time soon.
Leopold had no video coverage, but he could swear Lucius was grinning on the other side of the comm.
Good... did anyone notice me leave or ask anything about it?
I don't think so... Sepherim certainly did, at least I think..
Very well, keep him occupied. As long as it's not one of the Dakani's, all is well. I'm just in position over the Eymadalad swamps... everything is in place and I'm about to launch myself down.
Godspeed, Tiphareth.
As a response, Leopold's datapad just shut off, as he flicked it close in his palm and tucked it back in one of the pockets on his armour.
Here goes.
